Come Hear Middle-earth Music Performed Live THIS WEEKEND in Raleigh, NC!

My report from the North Carolina Symphony's amazing live FotR concert is still coming.  But, life happens and I've been very busy lately, especially with another event regarding music from Middle-earth...

My film class is trying to move forward through pre-production, but to get much further we really need to establish a budget. So, instead of just begging friends and family for money on Kickstarter we're partnering with my string quartet to put on a concert this Saturday (the 26th) at 7pm in Raleigh, NC.

As you might expect, with yours truly being involved Middle-earth was bound to come up. Our main feature for the evening will be several movements from a LotR tone poem that include themes/pieces such as Concerning Hobbits, Many Meetings, A Knife in the Dark, Roots and Beginnings, Minas Tirith, The Black Gate Opens, The Last March of the Ents, The End of All Things, The Fellowship Reunited, and more. Earlier in the program we'll also be premiering a new arrangement of mine featuring Misty Mountains and The Adventure Begins from An Unexpected Journey. Throughout the night selections from many other films and artists will be performed too including many John Williams and Pixar themes along with a bit of Tangled and Morricone.

Coming from my totally unbiased opinion it looks like it'll be a great evening and we'd love to see you there! If you're in the area and would like to learn more and reserve your free seat please make use of the following links:
